This insert can be used with any 3 or 4-quart casserole pan or saucepan (essentially any pan with an 8-inch diameter) to steam seafood or veggies. This Steamer Insert is made from high-quality stainless steel for even heat distribution and efficient steaming. Stainless steel rivets are used to secure the long ergonomic stick handle to the base for a comfortable yet secure grip. Care
- Only use low to moderate heat settings, unless boiling because overheating can cause brown or blue stains.
- Use 1 to 2 teaspoons of oil or butter with these products, but never aerosol because they can damage non-stick coating.
- Do not use in broiler or oven above 500 degrees.
- Dishwasher safe, but hand wash recommended after each use.
- Do not use chlorine bleach based cleansers, or any steel based cleansing pads.
