This explosion proof motor vacuum pump is designed specifically for class 1 Div 2 Explosion Proof environments and does NOT include a power cord. This explosion proof motor vacuum pump needs to be wired to a power source by a licensed electrician. Please review your wiring needs, as this wiring option is often ordered in error and returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

The Welch 1405W-01 vacuum pump is a rugged and robust vacuum pump for applications requiring pressures < 1 Torr. The 1405W-01 achieves < 0.001 Torr with a pumping speed of 90 liters/min (3.2 CFM). Two stage, oil sealed vacuum pumps should not be operated continuously at pressures above 1 Torr. Operating this vacuum pump at higher pressure will induce excessive oil spraying from the exhaust of the vacuum pump causing premature failure and void warranty. Please consult your Chemtech Scientific Representative for consultation, should the ultimate pressure of your process run above 1 Torr.
